A lovely 1960s Govancroft dark brown stoneware coffee set, made in Scotland, consisting of: four cups and saucers, small jug and coffee pot. Super stylish and very cool indeed.
In very good condition. Jug has the tiniest chip on rim – hardly noticeable.
Govancroft Pottery was founded in Glasgow, Scotland by James Buchanan in 1911 and specialized in utilitarian stoneware until 1946. Starting in the 1950s they introduced matte glazed stoneware dinnerware and coffee and tea sets. The pottery closed in 1976.
