Stunning vintage glass pitcher vase with yellow base graduating to red colour and diamond point pattern. The colour is called Persimmon. This was made with a 4-part mold. 4-part molds were used up to the early 1900s. Circa estimated to 1940.
This vintage glass pitcher vase was hand blown into mold with hand finished spout and applied free blown hollow handle. The hollow handle suggests a very fine early maker. Northwood Glass produced a pattern exactly like this called Diamond Point, Westmoreland Glass called theirs English Hobnail (used as a generic name today), Cambridge Glass, Imperial Glass, New England Glass all produced English hobnail too. Actual maker unknown.
Measures 18 cms tall, 21 cms from handle to spout and is 16 cms wide. In excellent condition.
